SPRING IS IN THE AIR!!!

With the weather warming and days getting longer, I'm sure that many are getting the itch to start scratching the ground.  With that being said, both La Cross Seeds and Dairyland seed has delivered a bunch of seed that was ordered, and we should be picking up the certified oat's within the next week or so.  For those who have order's with us, delivery of your seed will begin as soon as order's can get put together.  Also, if you are in need of any seed that has not been ordered yet, please contact Keith as soon as possible.  There are seed varieties that are sold out and some with short supply, so the sooner your orders are placed, the better chance you will get what you need.
Good luck and be safe.  Let's all pray for a smooth 2020 planting season!

Mill Expansion

We are growing to serve you better!
New mill planned for startup in Summer of 2021...

Construction has started on our new facility by our current grain bins on Spruce Court in Addison. This new mill will increase our capacity for feed production and improve the efficiency of bagging and bulk truck load out operations. With the purchase of new pellet making equipment we can expand our services and offer new quality products.

Plans for the existing Allenton mill are not finalized but we will continue to use it for grain storage, drying, roasting and grinding.

We are excited to move our business forward and we will post new pictures as this project progresses.

Newborn Calf Care the first 72 hours

The best calf performance begins with the dry cows, the focus is on the colostrum management and sanitation to get your calves to take off healthy on its regular liquid diet. The nutrition after colostrum is just as important.

                                               Swine Solutions
Pigs depend on their feed, not only protein and energy but also their needed mineral requirements. Trace mineral supplementation typically is based on dated National Research Council recommendations. Yet, swine nutritionists often formulate to mineral levels that far exceed NRC guidelines as an inexpensive safety measure. This practice potentially results in excess mineral in the pig’s diet and, as a result, excess mineral in the manure.
